Long term greedy

I never really paid attention to financial institutions and their mottos if they had one. I read about this in an article not directly related to the bank itself, but rather of the something the author learned at school. The quote stuck out to me as an interesting mindset. I think that planning for the future is much harder in the moment of the decision; which project should you take? Which plans should you make for the weekend? This is basically a rewording of the concept of delayed gratification, but feels more simple to grasp and apply.

What decisions will get me more in the long term? What can you sacrafice in the short-term?

Never make a short-term financial decision at the expense of long-term wealth creation.” For your client, or yourself, be “long-term greedy.”
